Who We Are

Our mission is to provide holistic, trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming, and culturally responsive mental health and wellness care that supports children, teens, and adults in reconnecting with themselves in deeply human ways. We are dedicated to co-creating a safe, compassionate, and inclusive space where BIPOC and diverse communities can explore their inner world without judgement and feel supported exactly where they are.

Through an integrative approach grounded in neuroscience, somatic therapy, mindfulness, and creative expression, we support nervous system healing, emotional regulation, and embodied well-being. Our work honours both science and creativity, while centering the complexity, wisdom, and humanness of every individual’s lived experience.

If you’re ready to deepen self-understanding, reconnect with your body and mind, and move toward a more grounded and authentic way of living, you’re in the right place.

Igniting your inner “Skakti

The word Shakti translates to inner strength.

Derived from the Sanskrit root word “shak”, meaning “to be able” or “to have power,” Shakti represents the creative life force believed to exist within all of us.

At Shakti Psychotherapy & Wellness, therapy is about reconnecting with that inner strength.

Even when anxiety, burnout, trauma, or self-doubt feel overwhelming, there is still a powerful and resilient part of you underneath it all.

Therapy creates space to reconnect with that part of yourself — allowing your authentic self to emerge and your mind, body, and soul to come back into alignment.
